I was just thinking I should make a new entry, after all this time, to my blog. Then I got to looking at other's blogs, and things they're interested in... and then thought I'd Google myself. (see how my mind works? No... I didn't think so)
Now admit it. You've Googled yourself before... maybe frequently. I check once and a while because of the listings I have with professional sites.
No, not really. I Google to see if I still exist.
Anyway... this most recent check of self-awareness produced a page that had all but 2 listings referring to me (and not some other impostor from around the world). The professional listings were there... plus one from the church I serve at.... one from a comment I made on the BBC site.. And one from the IMDB!
Now being in the IMDB (Internet Movie Data Base) is a big deal for me. True, it was only for doing still photography on a single, short film... but it's a start!
I've always want to make a film. Or at least since I realized that I was never going to be a fashion photographer in southwestern Ohio.
So anyway, I clicked on the link, and there I was... Russ Beckner. One movie... served as miscellaneous crew... no photo (They want $35 to put my picture in!).. but I was there! And will continue to be there. As long as there is an IMDB, I'll exist in motion picture history. Maybe, I'll eventually get a few more credits under my name... or maybe, I should try for a note in the fashion photography world?
